***J-FSTOLL - JF-STOLL ON SCOTGRASS 2010***
Monday, 7th June, 2010
The crowd swamped around the 2 new mowers on display; the SM 3205 plain 3.20 m disc mower and the GX 9005 SM triple mower combination. The GXF 3205 P Contour Float was the front mounted part of the combination and the response to this unit was particularly strong. “I think the fact that the front mower was featured on the cover of the previous weeks Farmers Weekly helped enormously bring attention our plot, but many were surprised to see the complete triple combination in operation” said Martin Holden.
“We always planned to use this demonstration to launch the fully mounted triple unit as seeing machine in action is what it’s all about. Demand for triple mowers is on the increase both with contractors and farmers driven by the need to cut a large amount of ground in the shortest space of time and with fewer operators, so real savings can be achieved with this type of investment” Added to this, less passes across the field reduces soil compaction and if the following machinery is matched to the mowers working width, then even more savings in time and diesel can be achieved” added Martin Holden.
Rounding off the demonstration were a new 8.80 m tedder, 8.0 m rake and the massive FCT 1355 precision chop forage harvester.
For Scotgrass we married up a Case Magnum 335 to our 1355 and the combination was driven by one of our 1355 contractor customers from the North Alan Cowan. He certainly got the best form the combination and as always the crowds were at there largest when this combination was in operation.
“The JF-STOLL brand is instantly recognisable when it comes to trailed forage harvesters and is now the only brand available in Europe with an extensive range to suit all needs from farmer to Contractor. We have witnessed an increasing interest in trailed machines over the last few years and are continuing to develop the range for the future”
“With the grass season just about to get going in full swing, the demonstration allowed many potential customers to see these new machines working before they make their final buying decisions. We have already taken a number of orders since the event, which proves that actions do speak louder than words” commented Martin Holden.
